If you’ve been following my stories, you know how much I love this time of year—the food, the family reunions, and of course, the beautiful traditions that make our culture so vibrant. Recently, I came across something truly special happening at AEON MALL Bukit Tinggi, and I just had to share it with you all!

More Than Just a Celebration
On February 7th, as part of their “Prosperity Blossom” campaign, AEON MALL hosted a CSR initiative that really touched my heart. While we all love the festive decorations and shopping deals, AEON MALL took it a step further by focusing on giving back to our community and the next generation.+3
Empowering Our Youth Through Tradition
The highlight of the event was the Lion Head Donation Ceremony. As a mum, I’m always looking for ways to keep our heritage alive for our kids, so seeing AEON MALL donate new lion heads to nine school lion dance associations was incredible!
Recipient schools and associations included:
- Hin Hua High School
- Kuen Cheng High School
- Catholic High School, Petaling Jaya
- SMK Taman Bukit Maluri
- SMK Sinar Bintang KL
- …along with several dedicated welfare and dance associations like Jing Sun, Ti-Ratana, Khuan Loke, and Hong Yi.
Why This Matters 🦁✨
It’s not just about the equipment; it’s about what these activities teach our children. AEON MALL shared that this initiative is designed to:
- Keep traditions alive: Ensuring the beauty of the lion dance continues for years to come.
- Support schools: Reducing the financial burden on school clubs so more students can join.
- Build character: Encouraging discipline, teamwork, and active involvement in co-curricular activities.+1
A Community Effort
The event kicked off with a beautiful Lion Head Dotting Ceremony, and I loved seeing AEON MALL collaborate with partners like The Film Engine, Toy World Malaysia, Poh Kong, ITSU, Souper Tang, and Hock Kee. It’s such a wonderful reminder of what we can achieve when we work together for the community.+1
